Certificate in Gym Instructing
Gain accreditation with PD:Approval to offer learners a prestigious qualification that is recognised by REPs Lebanon and welcomed by employers. Health clubs, fitness and sport centres are looking for skilled and professional instructors to perform a range of roles supporting and motivating clients to get active, stay active and healthy, they may also be required to manage gym inductions, produce a variety of programmes and fitness initiatives to ensure the members and clients are training in a safe and effective manner.
The Certificate in Gym Instructing qualification requires 150 guided learning hours (GLH) which must include at least 24 hours of practical delivery.
Applicants for accreditation are required to chose either a Partner or Non-Partner status, which must be confirmed on the submission form and is in place for the whole of the subsequent accreditation year, if approved. Partners benefit from a range of reduced accreditation fees but agree to register all their successful graduates for REPs Lebanon membership.
REPs Lebanon is a member of the International Confederation of the Register of Exercise Professionals (ICREPs). PD:Approval offers accreditation to training providers so that learners can benefit from training mapped to REPs Lebanon standards which will allow learners who have passed your assessment to not only gain membership with REPs Lebanon, and also professional recognition in the other ICREPs member countries.

Units covered in the Gym Instructor Qualification
Private training providers can expect a robust approval process that is supportive and thorough. Your training will have either been developed by yourself and you own the intellectual property, or by PD:Approval who can provide the relevant qualification materials that have already been mapped, saving you time and supporting your accreditation. Alternatively, you may wish to utilise another source for the resources to deliver the qualification, but you MUST submit them all and gain approval to use these materials from the intellectual property owner. All resources MUST map 100% to the REPs Lebanon standards to ensure an industry benchmark is met.

To show the industry that you have achieved accreditation, we will provide you with the REPs Lebanon and PD:Approval logos and a Certificate of Authentication showing the details of your approval. Following Interim Approval we will send out a qualified External Quality Assurer (EQA) to support you to continue to meet the highest standards and provide Full Approval status. PD:Approval has an accumulated 50 years experience in quality assurance, and uses industry expert evaluators, trainers and quality assurers to undertake reviews and observations.
PD:Approval will provide each successful learner with a secure Certificate of Achievement, that has a unique ID and a QR code for anti fraud purposes. Only certificates issued in this manner will be accepted by REPs Lebanon for entry to the register and recognised by the other ICREPs member countries.

Group Exercise Instructor (freestyle) focuses on the delivery of exercises to a group. Music may or may not be involved in the session; where music is involved clients may not be expected to work to the beat and phrase of the music and original choreography is not a requirement of this qualification.
- Certificate in Group Exercise (freestyle): requires 150 guided learning hours (GLH) which must include 24 hours of practical delivery.
- Certificate in Group Exercise Instructing (pre-choreographed): requires 140 guided learning hours (GLH) which must include 20 hours of practical delivery. Please note: to deliver this qualification your team must be qualified in Group Exercise Instructing (freestyle)

- Certificate in Pilates Matwork (Pilates Core and Matwork units): requires 275 guided learning hours (GLH) which must include 150 face to face hours, 75 of which must be practical.
- Certificate in Pilates Comprehensive (Comprehensive units): requires 225 guided learning hours (GLH) which must include 150 face to face hours, 75 of which must be practical (prerequisite required of a PD:Approval accredited Certificate in Pilates Matwork).
- Diploma in Pilates Comprehensive (Core, Matwork and Comprehensive units): requires a total of 500 guided learning hours (GLH), which must include 300 face to face hours, 150 of which must be practical.
